I just picked up a set of 2.02/1.60's

Yep, this guy I work with sold me a set of heads that have been massively ported and studded. They are from the late 70's I believe. They have 64cc chambers and have been fully worked over.

I am unsure of the flow numbers but I know that there isn't ANY more meat that can be removed in those intake ports. I am debating selling them because they are cast and I really want to get aluminum.

If anyone is interested maybe in the state I might be willing to part with them for a real good price. I am not talking about $500 or even $400 for the set. I'd let them go for less than $350. I was trying to be a pal and lend the guy a hand during Christmas to make a few extra bucks.

You would have to run that type of head with a carb engine. They don't work good with Fuel Injection. I tried a set a long time ago with my TPI engine. They didn't help. On a carb engine they work good if set up correctly.

For $hits and giggles, I would have them flowed and measured properly so you know roughly what you are workin with/trying to sell. They could have 170CC intakes or 230CC intakes Any clue? The hambers could be 64CC or a 70CC chamber hogged out to 80CC or something. ya never know later man!

Good point Denny! I actually know the guy who did the assembly/milling of the heads. He did all the machine work on my motor block and heads. The guy that sold them to me did the port work himself. He used to work in some sort of brass factory and he worked with a dremel all day anyway so I guess he figured that he'd try his hand at a set of heads.

Chris J, I can kind of see where you are coming from but not totally. Care to elaborate?

I had the dart 2 sportsman head. I installed them with a compucam, headers and slp runners. The car only ran high 13.9. I read in several mags that the ports were to large for a fuel injected engine and it slow down the flow thru the ports. I switched to the L98 vette heads that were fully ported and polished and picked up 1.0. That is why I said they were carb heads. If you want I can get you the information from the mags. They said the heads were a no no with TPI.

I already have a buyer that I am giving the details. Its Rebecca's brother. The heads sound perfect for what he needs since he is building up a Nova.

I really wanna go with a set of aluminum heads. I just have to find a set.
