I was wondering if i should write a letter to the previous owner of my car a 2000 sebring silver SS or is that physco? i know that these cars can be modded and run really hard. im am curious if this has ever happend to any of you(received a letter from current owner)? do u think i should let it go and just worry about how i treat it, or should i make sure that all the miles he put on it werent in the 1/4 mile.
i got the car from carmax with about 13000 miles on it. i live in san antonio and i had it shipped from houston. the only mod that i have added is the cut-out.

thanks for any help fellas, i really apperciate it

I'd say that you'll be alright as long as looked for the usual stuff under the hood and in the car...holes in the firewall (nitrous lines), holes in the trunk area (bottle mount), stripped/scratched bolts on the motor (like they've been removed before) etc...if the car came with some mods already, it's most likely been "opened up" a few times before. You still have the factory warranty, so I wouldn't be too worried about it...just my $.02

Yeah, what Ken said, but these cars are made for the track and perform very well. I wouldn't worry about it too much. It should still be under the factory warranty anyway and if you got it stock there isn't much that I'm sure was done to it. You should be fine.

Not an LS1 owner, but I'll throw in my 2 cents anyway... :D

You have 50/50 chance, so all you can lose is a first class stamp, paper, an envelope and a few minutes writing it.

If I sold my car to or traded it at a dealership and I would receive a letter from the new owner, I'd probably throw it in the trash. Maybe not...

Later! ;)

as far as the letter i say why the hell not its only .37 cents

i think if you found his email address you would get a better response.

but if you do write, send a self addressed stamped evelope.
I know I would be to lazy to mail a reponse

yah as soon as i write the letter ill post it up so yall can tell me what yall think. all this torque talk is making me think i really need some more. i know that putting gears in ur car dosent affect the torque numbers that u get out of the dynojet but is it like gaining torque.?.?. if so what would be a hypothetical torgue increase that usually occurs when adding a set of 3.73 gears to ur car?

would a new cam significantly help out hp and tq or do u only notice a bigger power gain when u have a lot of bolt-ons?

He works at Gunn Auto Park on I35N, exit Judson road. He's badass, btw. :metal:

I think at least half the F body crew here has him work on their cars, and I recommend him to everybody I see.

Hey let's not start a torque battle here. :D I'm putting down over 500 lbs ft of torque all motor. Any takers? :D LS1 power to the 422! I had to do it guys.

Tripp a cam will definitely increase you torque a good amount. Depends on what you go with. All power mods will add torque in some way or another. But remember, you also have to be able to get that torque to the ground.
