Plug Gap And Plug Type For Turbo!!!!
is there any difference in plugs i have been using tr55 ngk's for a while now and i change them on a regualr basis and they are gapped at .55 when i was running n/a
can i stay with the TR55's but just a different gap do turbo cars require a different plug gap?
any info will be very helpful

Definitly want to tighten up the gap if your gonna boost it. Think the majority runs around the .035 or less range. If your a fan of the TR plugs, you'd probably want to go to a TR6 plug. Don't want to run something too warm and you may get spark blow out with the larger gap.

i new about the spark blowing out with the larger gap especially set at .050 or .055 i figured .035 or .030 would be the place to be, but i didnt know about needing a colder step up plug...
what do you run interms of plug brand and material...?ken

I'm running the Autolite racing plugs. I was running an AR472 (i believe thats 4 ranges colder then stock), but they were too cold and were fouling during daily driving. I just put in AR474's (back 2 steps warmer) and they seem to be running well. I'm running the gap at .030. Wanted to leave a little room to widen cause the gaps seem to open up fast on these racing plugs. There a non-projected tip plug with a cut back ground strap. I wanted to try out the Champion verson of the same plug, but they weren't in stock, so i went with the Autolites for now. When i originally ran a 1 step colder AC plug with a .035 gap and a projected tip, i was getting spark blow out. That didn't go away until i went with a non-projected tip plug with the same gap. Food for though.
