Ya'll Probably think I'm stupid!

Ya'll probably think I'm stupid and I am But I have another dumb question that maybe someone can help me with. Now that the cold weather has finaly hit my car runs like crap and backfires through the carb on Accel. and through the Exaust on Decell. I've set the timing at 0 deg. and adjusted the carb. I've also tried advancing the timing and Ritarding the timing but it dosen't do it as much at 0 deg. Please help I just got beat by a 5.0 because of this problem.

Sounds like your choke is not opening all the way.. I don't think you need one down here anyhow..
Try wiring it open and see what it does.. it might take a little longer to get it to idle since it is cold, but try it.
