Headers need tune?

Ive heard from some people that after a header install you should get a tune, well I just installed my mac mids last night with cat delete and it seems to run really strong...

is a tune necesary?

It's not strictly necessary, but your car will run even better after a tune. You'll have more horsepower, better fuel economy, and a smoother idle. A mail-order tune will be fine, so you're only talking about $125.
