Datalog. What the best way to get the most info?

Datalog. What the best way to get the most info?

How long should i run a datalog for?I was wondering what trpe of driving or things should i do to get the most information. O-60 WOT? Cruising? Acelerate and let it slow?

About the worst thing you can do is let it idle, and sit in the driveway revving the **** out of it..... I've had an awful lot of those sent to me. As Rob points out, depends what your problem is and where you are experiencing your problem.... cold start, transition from open to closed loop, idle, part-throttle cruising, or high RPM misfire. One thing to try and do while driving is to vary the throttle/RPM conditions over a wide range, to try and put the PCM into as many of the long term fuel corrections cells as possible. Always include at least one pull to max RPM. Also a good idea NOT to reset the PCM before you log, since it will clear the long term fuel corrections.
