So how are you guys hiding your Solenoids ?

I'll be installing my kit very soon, and have everything figured out for how and where I'll hide it, but have yet to think how to conceal the actual solenoids for Fuel, N20, and Purge.

Suggestions?

I will be using a NX GM EFI Kit, single nozzle.

I say, let them solenoids hang out for everyone to see. But, as far as hiding them, I have a friend who mounted his underneath the cowl. (Around the fuel pressure regulator area, back by the firewall). Then I guess you'll have to use that plastic wire loom stuff, to conceal the braided lines. Just my 2 cents.

otherwise, you can get a factory traction control box(that mounts on the drivers side valve cover area, stuff them in an empty one of those and loom all the lines. would be kinda hard to tell what it is, as long as you can hide the nozzle.

Yea I got tons of the convoluted tubing for the lines and such. Just needed some crafty ideas for where to put the noids.

When I was running a single nozzle...the solenoids were mounted on the firewall next to the AC box....the lines ran under the motor next to the spark plug wires...ran a 1LE boot, with the stock plastic tube still installed...the nozzle was inside the tube and the lines came up from underneath....if you didn't lay down under the car you couldn't see anything.

And with having the lines from the solenoid to the nozzle so long ...the hit was so soft, you couldn't feel it come in, but it would pick up 13-15 mph in the 1/4.

No inspection here. Show car insurance. Plus in Ill. there is no more test for OBD1. To many cars were being screwed up on the rollers. So if you passed the last time you were there, your good to go. As it fast!!!! ;)

My close friend owns a 93 TA with a 396 and a visible direct port nitrous setup. He used to be so sneaky it wasnt even funny. After years of hustling people he finally let me in on his secret. The setup was cool.
Basically two nitrous setups... One (the direct port already mentioned that is visible) with the bottle mounted in plain sight in the lower trunk area. Secretly he has a nos 5176 125hp shot hidden in the car. In the spare tire compartment hid the other 10 lb bottle, along with both solenoids mounted on a special plate "inside" the air filter tube! The wires were routed down the air silencer and loomed with other factory wiring. Granted the solenoids posed an obstruction inside the air tube for Naturally aspirated driving, but once the juice was forced in, you wouldnt know it.
When he would hustle, he would negotiate a run without spray and let the oposition reach in and disconnect the bottle. Then he would flip a secret switch to enable the second system at the line. Usually this car would run in the mid 6s in the 1/8th mile.
