Looking for aftermarket overflow pics

I am trying to find pics of aftermarket overflows. I ordered a Summit overflow and I was wondering how I should mount it. Should the hose come from the bottom or the top? Valve open or valve closed? I was wanting to mount it under the battery tray to hide it, will this work? I am mounting my vaccum can there on the other side. Just looking for ideas, pics or suggestions.

You can mount it any where below the top of the rad. Hose goes in the top so you can drain from the bottom between runs. Second hose in case the overflow, overflows, and venting.

What I am thinking is that I will mount it under where my battery is. Does the tank have to be mounted with the inlet and outlet facing the top or bottom? I was considering mounting it on its side. Would this work? I want my engine compartment to be as clean as possible.

If the level of the tank is below the level of the radiator cap, the end of the overflow tube needs to be submerged below the liquid level in the reservoir, so that the vacuum in the radiator can siphon the coolant back into the radiator as it cools down. If there is no "dip tube" in the reservoir, you would have to connect the overflow hose at the bottom.

Thank you. I guess that means no mounting it on its side. I am installing a vacuum can on the drivers side under where my factory airbox would have beem(hidden) and I was wanting to do the same with the coolant overflow.
