Funny, earlier this month my A/C was working OK, but I thought it could probably use some more freon, so I was doing some research on here.

2 afternoons later, when it was hot as hades (of course) I get in the car to drive home and the A/C won't work...

I get home and check this site for a diagnosis thought process...

1st thing, pull 2 fuses... one in the car and one in the engine compartment... both look ok... Put them back in.

Fire the car up about 1/2 later and bingo, A/C is working... humm????

Went to the car parts place and bought a can of R134 and put it in.

A/C is working great now...

no clue..

Just thought I'd pass my findings on..

You might get a shop to hook up the guages to the low/high side and get a pressure reading.....

If the pressure is low, then the A/C compressor will not turn on or it will be sporadic....

The A/C compressor is controlled by the Clutch Cycling Switch, plus there might be a high/low pressure switch also.....

Improper pressures will lead to damaging components......
