when i floor it in my 86 camaro (lg4 305 4barrel) the car hesitates. i dont know if it is downshifting or what... but then i always smell gas once i let off the throttle... still sticks me in the back of the seat, but i want to ge trid of the hesitation. the engine has 57,000 orig miles, i bought it from an old lady in dec 05, who had it sitting since 1997. could it be fuel pump? fuel filter? running too rich? i never adjusted the carb, and i assume the old lady left it factory setting as well. thanks in advance
