Ok well I have an 1993 Z28 Camaro...It is totally stock, except for a K&N CAI...Well I was on my way home from my girlfriends house and it was about 2am...Well I saw some xenon lights coming up from behind...I thought it was just a factory car with them lights...Anyways a SRT-10 Viper pulls past me...I was in the slow lane...My first reaction was put the peddle to the floor...I knew he would whoop me if he actually raced...Well he raced all right...He killed me...I dont really care that he beat me cause I know I have no chance in any lifetime...But I am really glad that he actually raced me a couple times not just blow by me at 150 mph...I hate when people buy $75,000 car and dont race them everynow and then....It was a good learning experience and it got me home pretty quick too!!!

Depending on the year and setup, they're "only" 115-121 mph cars. You can build your car faster than that but it's not always just about the speed.
Vipers with forced induction can be monsters on pump gas. More displacement just makes the job easier - if you can avoid the ripoff "tuners" that seem to specialize in that market.

I dont know about over-rated. Click this... www.undergroundracing.com
Vipers can be lethal fast if a performance enthusiast grabs hold and not some 60 year old lawyer.
Yeah, I saw a nice black Viper in OC, MD a month ago cruising around...Usually I mess with them, but when I noticed the parachute I had second thoughts...when we pulled into a parking lot he said that its only been to the track for some shake down runs...7.90s @ 180!!!!!!!! Hahahaha...You'd never know it if he took off the 'chute....You gotta be careful with them now....when they are in the right hands...

Yeah, I played with a C5 Z06 under the same circumstances and it was cool just to see what the LS6 can do. The Vipers (any year) are rare and even if it's not a real fast one, you can bet most people who see it for a split second could tell their buddy a few days later, "I saw a Viper the other day." People don't say that about Firebirds and Camaros. Even if I could beat one I'd still be pumped to see one on the road, much less run with one! They are cool cars pure and simple.
