shocker45 05-27-2007, 06:44 PM alright it wasnt bad before but now its aweful, im getting deep cuts in my tires, and need to take care of it now.
there is 2 spots on my fender that are rubbing \ cutting the tire, 1 towards the front and one at the back, about a 4" section.
now, i dont wanna roll it right up, just need about 1\4 of an inch and to take the sharp edge out.
should i
a) use a bat and just roll it on the well applying pressure on the spot thats rubbing.
or
b) just grind out the sharp peice with a dremel, then apply some paint to prevent rust.
or
c) just take a plastic hammer and some wood and just try to pound it up a hair?
or is there another option that i can do right away?

car is lowered and i have the stock panhard rod, so my diff is a bit off center, causing the problem.

It'd probably be much less aggravating to get an adjustable PHB before you get into rolling quarters and cutting the car...Unless you need to do it asap...The car would ride/track better with the rear centered under the car...

shocker45 05-27-2007, 07:06 PM i am buying a phb, but for now im feel like i cant even drive it, it gets worse and worse.
what if i heat it up, take a block of wood and a plastic hammer, and just pound it out by like 1\4 inch? in the 2 spots?
ABA383 05-27-2007, 07:16 PM If its your daily driver, then I guess do what you have to do...I just think you'll get into something that you may end up regretting...If a PHB will solve your prob I'd wait...

Injuneer 05-28-2007, 11:38 AM There's a tool called the "Jimmee" (~$55) that grabs the edge of the fender lip and allows you to bend it up at a 45* angle. You still have to score the lip with a razor blade at the bend point, to control the cracking of the paint, and keep it out of sight. If you just start bending the lip, the paint could crack just about anywhere. After you are done bending, you need to touch up the paint cracks.
The Eastwood Company sells a great tool for rolling the fender lips, but its about $300.
ZLT195 05-28-2007, 12:55 PM Use a heat gun to soften the paint if your going to roll the fenders

.
Are they the Rebels with the 25mm offset? If they are, the offset is a major contributor to the problem. It puts the tire outside the fender line.
shocker45 06-01-2007, 07:16 PM im not sure what the offset is, i forget. right now driver side sits flush with the outer part of the fender, but the passenger side is in a bit, once i get a AJD PHB it will fix the problem
also ordered strano springs
