Rear spoiler rattle.
Okay so i have a 10 inch Diamond D3 sub in a sealed box powered at 425 watts in my 94. Ever since i put it in there has been a nasty rattle. Its quite irritating. Im sure many of you have also experienced this because it seems to be a universal 4th gen problem. I found the source quite some time ago and its the spoiler. Ive thought of a few things to do about this and dynamat insulation between the spoiler and trunk lid seems to be the best idea so far. I was wondering if anyone has tryed this or anything else that has solved this little annoyance. Thanks
The Dynamat between the spoiler and lid would prolly work, but I wouldn't want to stick that stuff on the paint, because it would be a pain to take off. Are you sure it's the spoiler that is making noise and not the trunk lid? Either way, instead of dynamat, you could look for some thin black, styrofoam type material to sandwich between your trunk/spoiler, or even a little dab of silicon.
I also thought it was the spoiler rattling so I sandwiched some foam in between the spoiler and decklid to try and resolve the issue. It didn't work. I belive it's just the whole decklid vibrating against every surface that it contacts. There's not really much you can do about it.

Well i get this from putting my hand on the connecting pointsof the spoiler and the rattle goes away. Ima take the thing off and see if it continues. There is a bit of dynamat extreme on the trunk lid. Im convinced that the spoiler is the cause. I dont wanna put on dynamat. But it seems like the best option.
