FS: 2000 Silverado LS Z71 4x4 1/2 Ton

I've got a 2000 Silverado Z71 4x4 for sale. It's in FAIR shape. It has its share of dings, scratches and such, but cleans up well. Unfortunately it has a broken rear end. Other than that it runs great. It will move under its own power in 4HI/LO. It has 73,232 miles. Other than the broken rear end the only thing that is wrong with it is the passenger side window won't roll up. Goes down, but not up. I'm assuming it's off the track. The tires have maybe 5k left to go on them. It's also a one owner vehicle and the owner was a smoker.

It has the 5.3 v8, auto, silver in color, LS trim, power everything(except passenger seat). Ext. cab, dark gray leather, CD, step bars, hard box cover. My Dad was able to get 26mpg on long highway trips, so it does pretty good.

As far as how the rear end broke,...it's a mystery. I was pulling out of the driveway in February after a snow storm and it just let loose going down the highway. And it is the rear end and not the transfer case. It's never been through any abnormal abuse. It has only towed a Harley and a 17' bass boat.

KBB.com lists the truck being worth $10,500. I figure with the broken rear end that $9,500 OBO is a pretty good asking price. Mechanically other than the rear end it has never had any problems.

I will take pics on Monday and will answer any questions about it. Buyer is responsible for transportation.

Call 815-303-6773 or 815-339-6772. Also feel free to PM me or e-mail me at slow94lt1@gmail.com. Make sure you put something in the subject line related to the truck because I do get quite a bit of spam.

Here are the pics. As you can see the step bars didn't take too well with the Illinois winters. They're also about 6 years old. I took pictures of all the body flaws. Or at least pretty close to all of them.

G80 code in the glovebox? If you've got the 10 bolt G80, those one wheel wonders (ice and snow) will break them in no time. I've heard of people actually blowing them into multiple pieces simply going over a railroad track at under 5mph. $300 from a local yard will get someone a 14 bolt semi-float. Even if it is Gov-lok (G80), it is okay in the much more sturdy 14 bolt.

It would probably help to post the gear ratio, so that a buyer knows whether or not he/she can find the gears/rear end easy enough and cheap enough in their area.

Free bump, anyway. At this time it's tempting, but I don't know if I could stand to give up my 8 foot bed.

It has a 3.73 gear. I'm unsure of the G80 code, I will check and post it up.

Any offers? If it's reasonable I'll definitely consider it. I don't want such a good truck to just sit.
