1-2 shift problem 4l60/700r4

i just pulled my car our for summer and it wont shift from frist to second unless i take the car up to 3500 rpm and let it sit there for about a second. My frist gear is very strong and when i do get it into second it feels fine. At wot it will not shift ether. i adj. the tv cable the way i read on here how to do it and that did not help.... any help would be great!! thanks guys

Could be that the TV valve (in the valve body) is stuck.
The MTV Up valve (in the valve body) is also an option.

Start the car and snap the TV cable, at the throttle body, a few times. Just pull it and let it "snap" back. Sometimes this will flood the TV circuit and cause a stuck TV valve to free up.

Push the cable back toward the firewall, then push the gas pedal to the floor (without pushing in on the lock button). The cable should "ratchet" out to where it's pretty close. You want your shift points to be at 15-18 MPH for the 1-2 and 35-38 for the 2-3 (under normal throttle). Moving the cable toward the firewall will increase pressure, making the shifts later and firmer. The other direction will do the opposite.

I was going to suggest that it could be the shift solenoids inside the tranny, but not sure about your tranny. Mine was a 4L60E and acted the same way...My solenoids were shot. Replaced them and everything was fine.

Frank can tell you alot more than I though.

This sounds like a valve trying to hang up...Most likely the TV valve.
