engine idle

I just got a Z28 - my first V8, YEAH!!! It is all stock
For the LS1 5.7, what should be the rmp at idle when stopped/in park, etc? I want to make sure my car is right.

I kinda searched around, but couldn't find exactly what I was looking for...
Thanks for any help.

**Edit**

Here's the PCM table for an automatic. ECT = coolant temp. Manual trans cars will idle higher.

Great - that seems to be very close to where it is. I will double check everthing tonight. That is lower then what my V6 was & I wanted to make sure.

Thanks....

Yep 850 or 900... even w/ a cam they seem to idle fine at 900...

Gotta love the POWAH, right! My 2k Z28 was my first V8 also! Was 120% sold on keeping her when I drove her home from the dealer 4.5 years ago...

It is idling around the 550 mark like the chart states when warmed up. I still have check where it is on a cold start in the morning.

Yea, I sure DO like the increase power from the 98 I had. It is very nice. I was going to keep the Goldie forever, but this Z28 is a great replacement since she got totaled.

Thanks,
