Early reports say it'll come in at 40k nicely equipped with many standard features with 3.2L V6 (265hp) and quattro AWD.
It's based on the next-gen A4 chassis (which won't be out until model year 2009) which will also be shared with the redesigned 2010 A6 - Audi is moving to do more chassis sharing between models than they have previously... much like Nissan/Infiniti seems to have already been doing for a few years now...

LED driving lights, Bang & Olfusen sound system, magnetic ride control suspension, and more.

I think it looks amazing. Granted a 265hp V6 is a little disappointing, but rumor has it they're doing a great job of keeping the weight down and it will come in closer to 3000 than to 3500.

The S5 model will have a 354hp 4.2L V8.

RS5 model is rumored for another year down the line

I think it looks very nice.

However I would rather have a G35 over the A5, and a 335 over the S5.

My wife wants to go 'sporty' this next go round, so it'll probably be a coupe, for us. It's looking like A5, 335i, or G35... I'm not stuck on one or the other - a lot of it depends on residual and MF rates at the time.

I'd really like to give Caddy a look too but they don't offer anything sporty at the moment. The 2008 CTS is a great looking car, but is going to be freaking huge compared to the other cars mentioned above, plus no coupe variant.

I'd consider a Mercedes CLK but the current one looks really outdated to me.

I think price is a big edge to the G35 over the A5. But there are millions of those cars out there (if you wanted something more unique) The G is probably faster as well. I'm not familiar with the features though, I'd say the A5 has the edge on that.

Now the new RS6, thats what I'm waiting for

I think it works alright until you get behind the rear wheels.

No S Threxx, just R8.

It looks very hot in white. They need the optional carbon fiber strip on the side as well.

I'd like the G35 better, too, if it looked like that!

But that was the concept version.

The real one looks much less exciting IMO
