I did a search and nothing came up, is there anyway to get measurments to compare to our last generation f body. I love my TA, but man I can't park in tight spaces at all because those doors are so long, even people that ride in my car always say "what big heavy doors you have" They really aren't that heavy, but long yes, and I don't think this helps the window motors much when they have to roll up such a huge piece of glass.

All we can really do is guess right now.

This is almost a loaded question. :)

Like just about everything else, no one knows how long the doors will be on the production car. Some may expect them to be exactly the same as the concept due to the statements made about them appearing identical. However, a fraction of an inch here or there makes a lot more difference that you might think.

I found it easier to get into than a 4th gen but when I measured the door at it's widest point, it was almost exactly the same length as a 4th gen door. The length says nothing about the position of the cockpit in relation to the door.

It is thinks like that that I think will shake out in the end. I think Chevrolet knows the 4th gen was not easy to get in and out of.

I am not as worried about ease of entry as I am of trying to open the door in a small parking space.

"what big heavy doors you have"

From my experiences foreign cars seem to have lighter doors. I actually have a tendency to judge how cheap a car feels by the weight of it's doors. I hate light doors, it feels flimsy to me.

I can't stand the super light doors that I close and the owner is having a fit that I'm going to break their car because I closed it so hard.

My '05 Aveo has much heavier doors than my friends 2003 Kia and another persons 2000 Corolla. Both of whom (females) can't seem to close my Aveo's doors hard enough on the first try.
