Is this pressure normal?

I have a racetronix 255lph in tank pump... after installing I am now running about ~62psi which is making me run rich I believe. I want to know if I need a fuel pressure regulator or if it should be sorted out through tuning or what? :confused:

Yes, that is too high! You need it regulated down to 46 PSI with the vacuum line removed (during the adjustment). If you stay in the 43 to 46 PSI range, you shouldn't need any reprogramming. Aeromotive makes a nice LT1 regulator.

Always helpful to know what year car and engine you're running. The answer above assumes you're running an LT1. If you've got an LS1, you running a different fuel pressure.

do you typically need a new regulator when putting in the 255 walbro. i believe i was told i don't, but i woudl just like some clarification, before i put it in next week.

No, a stock regulator will do the trick just fine. OBE1 95Z28 brought up a very good point though, the LS1 and LT1 run on two completely different fuel pressures, which could account for his pressure setting if he indeed does have an LS car.

Yes, I spend so much time in LT1 engine tech I'm not thinking outside the LT1 box. I also work on LTs constantly, however, my tow vehicle has an LS engine.
