325's mounted w/ Jegs version of the Prostars

Got my 325's on this weekend. It wasn't that hard to get them to fit. The rear wheels are 15x10 w/ 4.5 backspacing. I had my Moser 9" narrowed 3" per side. The fronts are 15x4 w/ 1.75 backspacing. These are the Jegs wheels not the Welds. Click on the pictures for a better view of these. I don't think you could tell much difference between the Welds and Jegs version. Plus it was a whole lot cheaper.

I have some more pic's of what I had to do to get them to fit. As stated the rear was narrowed 3" per side. Also had to have the adj. LCA's and panhard bar, adj. torque arm as well.

From the description in the catalog, they are one piece cast wheels, so they are not the same as the Pro-Stars. The Pro-Stars are made of two cold forged sections that are welded together. The Pro-Stars weigh a bit less. The JEG's wheels appear to be the old Weld "XP" series wheels, that Weld discontinued a year or two ago. Summit is selling the same wheels under the Summit name.

I agree there is some difference. But I didn't want to deal with the wait on the welds and plus the price is pretty attractive in itself. But over all not many people are going to realize that they aren't Prostars without looking at them up close.

It looks alot higher than it actually is. Especially without the front nose. Keep in mind the front tire is a 26" stock height tire and the rear is 28" tall. I may take the rubber spring piece out and put some heater hose on my coil to get an inch drop in the rear. But I've still got to put my 3" true dual x-pipe setup on as well.

The rears were heavier than the stock wheels & tires together. Theres alot of rubber in those tires. Of course the fronts were alot less in weight. So I think that it probably even's out and you get alot more rear tire without any extra weight.

Adj. panhard bar, adj, LCA's, adj. torque arm. Beat and bang in the fender wheel, cut out bump stops and grind the calipers.

Yeah, I used some spacers on the front. I can't remember the size but it was the smallest on JEG's has listed in there catalog. I still ground down the brakes some but I used the spacers to make sure there was enough clearance on there.

Yes, I'm going to leave the bumper support off. I actually took the bumper off to make it easier to work on the BBC conversion.
