Anyone have pics of their factory paint color only offered that one year?
Anyone have pics of their factory paint color only offered that one year?
Anyone got pics of their F-body whos paint color was only offered that one year? I know there are a few different ones off the top of my head such as in 93 they made a Purple Pearl Metallic, a Patriot red metallic, and either a brown or grey that was only offered that year. I know theres another Purple that was only made in like 96 (I think) and a Cyan Red that was only in 97 (I think), and perhaps the Hugger Orange only in 99 (I think).
Anyone have pics of these one year colors on thier F-body? Please also feel free to add any that I forgot, and correct me if I messed up on the years.

I'm the expert here on 4th gen Camaro factory colors (sorry guys, but I am. I'm the color nerd here). I have pictures on Brent's website of every single factory color here with production numbers: http://www.extreme-z.com/appearance/.../cpaint?page=5
The only ones offered for ONLY 1 year are:
'93 Pace Car Arctic white/black two-tone (if you count that as a "color"):

'99 Bright Blue Metallic:

'99 Hugger Orange (if you don't count the 1 Camaro from '00 that was hugger orange):

'98 Sport Gold Metallic (if you don't count the 5 made in '99):

and since Bright Purple Metallic was only offered '97 and early '98 you can consider it 1 year as well:

Bright Purple Metallic is by far the rarest 4th gen Camaro color ever used if you consider bodystyle. Only 883 in '97 and 481 in '98. Only 104 of those 481 were Z28. I don't believe any were SS.
The only inaccuracy on Brent's site may have to do with the production total number of Medium Quasar Blue Metallic Camaros. GM has on record that they used the color in '93, yet they have absolutely no record of how many (if any) were actually made in that color.

I can't remember the name off the top of my head, but Pontiac called the color something else in '93 and "supposedly" changed the name of the color in '94. You'd have to look at dealership Firebird brochures from '93 to '94 to be sure. I'm definitely not claiming to be a Pontiac expert.. not in the slightest. The only rare Firebird color I know of is a yellow that was offered in '93 and '94 in very small quantities.
