I've always liked SLP's catback, As of now i have the flowmaster 80 series with dual 3" tips, Its a nice sound but a little to low for me, I like the open throaty sound like the SLP's, I know SLP sells a catback kit for third gen camaro/firebirds, but i know this guy thats selling his SLP catback from his 95 Z28. Would it fit? BTW i have Edelbrock TES headers to single 3" outlet to a 3" catco converter thanks

Not to be an ass, but if you don't know don't answer.

Yes, it should fit. I ran a Pacesetter 3" Catback that came right off of my friends 95 Trans Am. I now am installing a Flowmaster 3" catback with an exhaust cutout from a 96 Trans Am.

Only thing I am not sure about is if it will bolt up straight to your cat, I do know that everything bolts up just fine in the back, all the hangers are in the same location, and all the bends are the same.

thanx guys, i was thinking it should fit, but the only difference would be the length of the Intermediate pipe,

BTW zephar hows the LT4 swap going? Too bad your 305 TPI went out i would of liked to race you.

The swap is coming along. I just recently had a friend drill the Nitrous ports on the intake for me and I hooked up the lines on it to see approx. where I'd put the distribution blocks.
Pics are here, http://www.transamws6.com/pics/nos/

It would have been fun to race, I haven't raced a thirdgen yet and lost. Beat my friends 86 Trans Am 305TPI A4 by at least 10 cars from a stop, his car was bone stock. I was well past 120mph when I slowed down and he had just hit 90-95.

Yeah i remember watching your vid at nethirdgen.org. Whatever happened to that SLP dual intake setup that u had, I remember you were selling it. Setup looks good, congrats on everthing.

I traded the SLP Dual CAI for the LT4 hotcam and springs. I should have kept it since I am going Speed Density on my LT4, but then again, the air inlet that goes from the SLP to the throttlebody is only 3" which might be a restriction. I do have a 4" cold air tube that I am planning on using.

Is there a difference in LT1 to LS1 exhausts?? Id like to get a SLP Loud Mouth and have a shop weld it into place but thats an expensive gamble if things dont work out....

The only thing that is probably different is the location of the cat(s) and where it mounts to the I-Pipe. The shop should be able to easily cut and weld where it connects to your cat.
Like I said before, the rear where the muffler mounts is identical, in fact, teh entire rear end of the cars are interchangable.

Having both 3rd and 4th gen SLP exhausts, there are some differences. Obvious is the cat hook up. It's different depending on year/setup of the cat(s). The tailpipes are a little different. 4th gen is straight out with the inside longer then the outer(follows the contour of the bumper). 3rd gens have a step to go under the bumper and out. Also the tailpipe hanger is a little different between the two.

The over the axle and muffler are the same. If you get a screaming deal on the 4th gen, get it and buy the intermediate pipe you need for your car. They'll bolt right up.

As an aside, on my 96 WS6, I had a Borla and SLP together. They fit together like they were both made too. So maybe any 3" intermediate pipe would work. I know the Borla bolted up to the SLP stuff fine.

Here is my exhaust that was bolted up with no modification to my 3rd gen. This is a Pacesetter 3" Stainless steel catback that came right off of a 95 Trans Am.

This shot is right after they fabricated a new y-pipe to attach to my headers,

Here is what it looked like all bolted together,
