compressing and banding front springs?

Does anyone know of a place in the Charlotte, NC or Traid area of NC that would compress my front springs for me and them band them? I need to have them compressed so I can get them back in the car? THe motor is out so there is no wieght to help .....I tried one of those you rent and they are POS...

SO I heard about having them compressed and banded. That would work out perfect for me

anywhere? I can even send my springs to them

I don't even know it that's possible to band them. But even if it was I wouldn't be near a set of springs like that. There is WAY too much potential energy there for me to trust any kind of banding material I can think of.

AutoZone will loan tools. You can get a spring compresser for about $50.00 but you get the money back when you return it.
