I cant say anything about that hood directly, but VFN is a great comapny to work with. I have one of their hoods on my 97 and it is awesome.

They were pretty cheap considering what I was looking for and it fit pretty well. Not 100% like stock fitment, but given it was fiberglass I think is pretty darn close.

I would give a call over there and let them know what you are looking for. chances are there are pictures of other cars that they have put their hoods on. I know customers send picturesto their office all the time.

Personally, that hood has two major flaws. The corners of the scoop are too sharp, and they kept the stock "louvres" instead of a smooth hood. I'd get the VFN Sunoco Style" Bolt On Hood if I were you.

Major flaws??? Those are the two things I really like about the hood!!! :D

The lines where the fake "louvers" would be add character to the hood instead of it just being a flat piece. The scoop how it goes over the wiper area looks damn cool to me too :)

I personally like the "vents" in my hood...I think they compliment my 30TH anniversary style stripes.

BTW, Brent did the custom "COWL INDUCTION" decals for my hood. scroll through the pictures in the post above to check them out.

FrankThe "vents" add character in my book. It is the first thing that catches your eye once the hood is painted with the little sparkle off the curves.

Go here...

http://www.extreme-z.com/appearance/gallery/

Read the directions for uploading your own F-Body picture, then upload your picture(s) to the Camaro Hood section. You're going to get some error messages when you are done (those just started popping up and not sure why) but it will still work and your picture will be there and then you can put the link here are use the IMG tag :)

No offense, I'm sure you put a lot of work into your car and all, but that's exactly why I don't like that hood. It looks cheap and just screams rice to me.

Cheap? How so? it's one of the better aftermarket hoods offered for the 93-97 Camaros. In fact, it's my favorite exterior modification that I have on it. What's funny is I've had this hood for 8 years and you, sir, are the FIRST PERSON to speak poorly of it. Everyone else I've spoken with has given it nothing but compliments. You wanna know what I think a stupid hood is? Those lame SS "clone" hoods that all these toolbags drive around which is NON-FUNCTIONAL. THAT, my friend, is "rice". Please tell me how the VFN hood screams "rice"?

How about you post up what you're driving, so that we may be able to "critique" yours, my friend. No one asked for your opinion, and since this thread is ASKING FOR PICTURES WITH THE VFN HOOD, you can go back under your bridge and hate the world like the troll you are.

Did you realize that you just insulted Brent Franker's Z28 as well? Why? Because our exteriors are physically IDENTICAL, save for the wheels and the paint color...but I guess his isn't rice, then? Same hood, same body kit, same spoiler...I just don't get it?

Seriously, what makes it look "ricey"? Is it my functional 4-sensor parking assist system? How about my custom digital gauge cluster, a-pillar, dash, overhead console gauge pods, and $1400 worth of digital gauges I just installed? Well, it doesn't matter, because I've done heads, cam, injectors, blah, blah, blah, blah. You name it, I've pretty much done it. Only things left for my project is a rollbar, 12-bolt, forged 357 rotating assembly, and PTK turbo kit. Whether my car looks "ricey" or not, really is irrelevant- I have the horsepower to back it up. Isn't that what "rice" is, anyways? You know, ALL SHOW and NO GO? How, may I ask, is my car "rice" if it's BOTH SHOW AND GO?? I could paint my car bright pink, throw on rainbow neons, and bolt a "park bench" spoiler on the car, but if it ran 10's, does it really matter? I think you really have the definition of "rice" confused. If a car looks tacky, that's all it is- TACKY. If that's what you think my car is, then by all means say it. Don't call it "rice". Rice is when a car is all decked out, but is nearly stock and/or isn't even a sports car on top of that. Get your definitions straight before you go talkin' smack...Oh, and save the "no offense" BS for someone who'll believe it.

Oh, BTW, NO OFFENSE, but I seriously am insulted by your criticism of my hood. If you don't like it, then just say so. Don't tell me it looks "cheap" and "ricey". I'm still baffled by your response, because as I mentioned earlier, I have had this hood on my Camaro for 8 years now, and I've received NOTHING but compliments on it. Many people have told me that it's what "makes" my car. You are the first, and probably will be the only, person to speak poorly of this hood's appearance. To each their own, but IMO, you've got ZERO taste, especially if you really like that BLAND Sunoco hood. But hey, whatever floats your boat...

Don't worry, Brent. This guy has no taste and doesn't know his butt from a hole in the ground. I've got the same hood, and I've had nothing but compliments on it. I'm an artist, and I can tell you that this is a gorgeous hood. Looks a helluva lot meaner than that stupid, bland, and flat sunoco cowl hood. If anything, I think THAT hood looks CHEAP.

Additionally, I like the VFN hood for it's symbolism, whether intentional or not. It's a fusion of generations. It has blended the cowl-induction hood found on the 1st gen Camaros with the modern hood of the 4th gen Camaros.

I'm with you on that one, the sunoco looks good on ls1s, but lt1s gross, people probably only like it because they use to only make it for ls1s...
