1992 Firehawk Video

Check out this video, seems like they are very bad-*** cars! Also, what motor do they have in them? I know they're 350s but are they TBI 350s?

There were only 25 1992 Firehawks built. They ran anywhere from $40,000-$50,000. SLP started with a Formula ($19,242), 5.0L TPI engine, 4-speed auto, with 1LE specs and A/C. The base Firehawk package added $20,753, and included:

-ZF 6-speed trans
-Dana 44 rear axle w/ 3.54 gears
-16# flywheel
-HD 350 block with 4-bolt mains
-forged steel crank
-Gen II cast pistons
-Ed Pink connecting rods
-hydraulic roller cam
-aluminum heads w/ 2.00I/1.56E valves
-custom down-draft port injection manifold, 11.5": runners designed by Ray Falconer
-52mm throttle body
-high flow air intake
-stainless headers with dual cat exhaust
-revised spring rates
-lowered ride height
-new struts
-new rear shocks
-larger front and rear roll sway bars
-special bushings
-Corvette 11.85" brakes
-275/40-17 Firehawk tires
-Ronal 17x9.5" wheels
-center console modified for easier shift throws
-Recaro seats were available for $995 extra.

A "competition" package was available for another $9,905, including:
-Recaro seats
-13" Brembo brakes package with 4-piston calipers

They are the "REAL" Firehawks. I consider the 4th gen ones just an appearance package while the 3rd gen ones were a totally different beast.

I'd have to say that is a true modern day collectors car.

Made an offer on one about 3 years ago. Unfortunately it did not have the aluminum race engine but was only 4K miles. Very nice...of course the offer wasn't accepted. Still was nice to see one up close. Damn, maybe I should contact him again...
