I am gonna be changing my cam this weekend. I figured I might as well get out as much coolant as possible and put in all new fresh stuff...

I remeber there was a knock sensor you have to take out on an lt1 in order to completely empty it ( i wasn't able to find it at the time so i said forget it)

What is the proper way to empty as much coolant as possible on an ls1? I plan to remove the pump of course and empty the radiator and reservoir. I know there will still be some in the block though.

There are two plugs in the block. One is above the starter and the other above the oil filter mount. Not very easy to get to. Some sort of hex (allen) size I think. Usually takes quite a bit of force to get them to start turning.

A shopvac applied to the proper apertures can do some amazing things. ;)
