What rear gear do you have? It makes a difference on how the stall feels. I would say anywhere from a 2800 to a 3600 stall would suit you well. I have a Vig. (not cheap) and am very happy with it. But I would like to bump mine up from 2800 to a 3600 for better track times. For some this might be a bit much for street driving.

id say go with a 3000,3200,or maybe a 3400
my old l98 3rd gen had a 3000 in it, and it was fine for DD, but for the track a 3400 or so would have been nicer.
On my setup, im going to run a 3400 for a mix of track and street driving, and if it feels too big, i can put it for trade on here and get a 3200 more than likely.

Depending on what brand you go with, you could spend anywhere from 400-800 bucks. As for the stall size, you could go anywhere from 2800-3600 as mentioned. Whoever you do buy your converter from can also give you some good recommendations as well. Whatever size you do go with, I would also plan on adding an auxillary tranny cooler as well.

If it were me I'd go with a 3200 with that gear. If you had a 3.73 than I'd say a 3600. But than again, what do I know? :D
