is it true Z28's are downtuned outta the factory???
a buddy of mine that owns a 96 z says that camaros are downtuned about 50horse, i was thinkin to myself if that is true what do i have to do. anyone know any truth to that? if so what is the first step im pretty sure my car that im hopfully gettin this weekend has a OBDI its a 94 so what are the places i can get the computer tuned? thanks guys

It is true that our cars are running a little rich from the factory, but correcting that in no way will yield a 50hp increase. Maybe 5-10, but not more.
Now there's a bunch of other things that can be tuned to make your car run better, but that is a different story.
As for custom tuning, there are many places that can do it.
I have done it for several board members myself. Take a look here if you're interested:
