with all the y-pipe hitting threads (and my own problem) im surprised no one ever suggested this...

it has been suggested. i have probably linked to it 3-4 times myself.

but i have yet to see anyone actually use it.

basically it's a bandaid for a bigger problem....worn out motor mounts.

for $60 you can eliminate nearly all of your motor movement the right way

i was thinking of doing motor mounts but it is fact... i cannot do that. and most shops quote rediculous prices for motor mount installs..

That has been suggested quite a bit. Many are also doing similar with hose clamped to pipe between pipe and body. If your clearnce is tight - 1 to 3/4 inch or less because you want to keep it tucked up nicely or other reasons, something like that helps.
