my car is a '95 and it has that big open space below the radio....perfect place for the nitrous switches and someone said they make a plate that fits in this space to put your switches on so it looks clean....anyone seen this and know where I can get one?

I've seen a few people use something of that sort, I'm not sure of a company that sells them. They do not look hard to fabricate though. Another option is the custom plate that hides away in your ashtray. That is what I'm using and it makes for a very clean install. A company called Jimmy Jams sells them.

There was a gauge plate made for the cubby under the Z28 radio, but I think they stopped making them a few years ago. Try a "search" on the Appearance forum... I know its been discussed there in the past.

I've made a blanking plate for my radio delete using sheet aluminum, and some Eastwood Company paint that's a perfect match for my interior. I've also made similar blanking plates for three different openings in a 97 SS dash, same paint worked on that one.

Look under the section titled "nitrous ashtray switch plates" you'll find it there.

Here are my switches. I just put them in the ash tray. Red switch is system arming and the blue is my purge. I believe I have the old gauge plate Fred was talking about. Its a face plate that just fits over that entire section and accepts the cig lighter also. Haven't seen them in a long time but if i remember right, i think i bought mine years ago from RK sport. Then is sat in my garage for a few years until i put my Nitrous kit on. It now houses Autometer Phantom Bottle pressure and Fuel pressure gauges.

I custom made a plate for mine in the ashtray. Its the same concept as the one that jimmy jams sells. Snaps right into where the tray came out of

I made my own plate. Not professional looking but it works for me.

It looks cool, something out of a fighter jet cockpit or something with all the different switches and leds.

I made my own out of a small sheet of ABS plastic I bought online and was able to mount 3 AutoMeter gauges along with a fan and line lock switch. I mounted the plate within the cubby using little L-brackets.

Thanks. I've run out of room for the targeting system controls so they will have to go overhead. ;)

Darn, I guess the ricers will get off the hook for awhile until you get your targeting system up and running.:D
