55 mph speed limit road and redlight. Carrera 4s cabriolet pulls up beside me and starts doing the creep thang. Has a horrible aftermarket exhaust. Why somebody would want to replace/coverup the wunderbar sounds of a Porsche boxer motor and OEM exhaust is beyond me.

About about 15mph he starts to pull and I follow. Slooowly pass him and let off as I hit 3rd around 65 mph or so.

Looked up the specs, and with an auto, it is around 5.1-5.3 seconds to 60 according to various Porsche sources for the latest 355HP model. Seems conservative to me, but they do weigh 3500+ pounds. Did they offer a 4s cabriolet 996 model with 315HP in the US market? If you were toying with somebody, wouldn't you pace them versus falling slowly behind? Wouldn't be surprised if the craptastic exhaust actually did more harm than good in terms of power under the curve, and if the owner was putting 87 in it...

Oh, I was in the wagon...with a kayak on the roof. :D

Beautiful car none-the-less, and it was about 50 degrees out, so props to the guy for having the top down.

You are a bit off on the weight.. they are 3318 lbs. I personally like the stock exhaust note of a porsche. Nice kill.

At this point he's wondering "Why did that 'Camry' wagon beat me so bad?" :D

No, they are porkers (at least for 2+2 small convertibles):

http://www.porsche.com/usa/models/911/911-carrera-4s-cabriolet/featuresandspecs/?gtabindex=5

Curb weight 3,439 lbs. 3,527 lbs. (manual/auto)

So anywhere from a 90-190 pounds heavier, with roughly 55 more hp and 60 lbs-ft less torque... Hmpt, maybe he really was trying, hehe. Again, it stopped around 60, so on the highway I'm sure I would have been stomped on.
