It is a narrow band sensor. In spite of what you may have read/heard it should not be used except to determine if it is rich, lean, or very rich/very lean. The range is ~200-800mV. Stoichiometric gives an average reading of around 450mV. The output voltage is not constant. When the voltage reverses from high to low or vice versa it's called a "cross count." A good O2 sensor on a injection system should fluctuate from rich to lean about 1 per second. If number of cross counts are lower than this, the sensor is getting sluggish and needs to be replaced. If you are consistently seeing outputs less than 450mV, it is "lean", if it's pegged atthe low end it usually represents a very lean condition. However, VERY rich will drown the sensor and give very low readings. This should be obvious from the plume of black smoke though, even without the meter. If the out put is consistently high, it is "rich".

You cannot use a wide band sensor anymore precisely than this. You are kidding yourslef to think otherwise.
