When shutting off engine, how do I get the IAC to park not fully opened?

At idle before I shut the car off, the IAC steps are at around 25...immediately when the engine is shut off, they go to 130. So at startup the next time, the IAC is already open 130 steps and it revs high upon startup, I don't want it to do this.

I changed the IAC PArk vs Coolant Temp all the way down to 10 for all positions, but it has no effect on where the IAC parks at shut down.

Anyone have any ideas?
I tried to figure this out a few years ago with no luck.

I would imagine thats supposed to be that way. More air for starting. Otherwise it would be hard starting.

Maybe, but I'd at least like to turn them down and see what happens, I can always crank it back up if need be...
Guess I could back the stop screw back out which will raise the IAC counts at idle back up real high which would be closer to where its parking at when I cut the motor off to see what the effect would be.

Depends which side you're looking at when you say "backing the stop screw out" :) I'm thinking of backing it out by the rear of the TB where the screw head is, which will close the throttle blades.

Ah, I gotcha. I adjust mine the other direction.:o :)
