What kind of oil should i use for my 2000 Z28? It's a V8 and i hit 100,000 miles on it? Changing it tomorrow morning.

 

What have you been useing? I use Mobil 1 0w-40 fully synthetic and a K&N oil filter. I would use the German made Castrol because that is supposedly the best for LT1's, not sure about LS1's, but i cant find it locally.

 

I just started to use 10-30W Valvoline Performance Full Synthetic and a K&N oil filter.

Ive been happy every since!

Is your LS1 burning or leaking any oil? If not, i dont see a reason to change oil now.
