Question I have Forged Pistons but stock replacement rings; will it stand up to a shot?

I have TRW forged flat top pistons; I bought forged pistons specifically in case I wanted to get a mild N2O shot.....say maybe 100hp.
But with all the other decisions I had to make in the rebuild I forgot about rings. I bought good rings....Federal Mogul. And they are aftermarket becasue there made for my .040 pistons, so they may be better than the stock GM rings. But I didnt buy rings that were made to stand up to Nitrous.

Do you think my the set-up could stand up to a shot, Im really not in a hurry to tear down my engine again.

I wouldn't envision any problems with just a 100ish shot. When/if you go over 150 is where I'd worry about better rings.

I dont see why you should have a problem with a 150 hit. I have stock longblock and it lived with a 150 for the last year.
George Debski has a stock shortblock and runs a 200 shot.
