52mm or 58mm on my setup? What do you guys think?

Have a 52mm TB currently. Wondering if the gain would be worth the money if I upped to a 58mm. Currently running about 10psi out of the T-trim and possibly a couple of pounds more to come. What do you guys think?

I would say its definatly worth it. A bolt on car usually picks up a couple horse power going from stock to 58MM. Im sure a blower motor on 10 psi will see benefits from it.
I bet you could sell yours on here for around 200 shipped and pick up a 58 for the same price. I actually am in the process of buying a 58MM shiped for 200$ ... So their out there. Check the for sale forums on here.
If it was me though, I would definaly go 58 on it. It cant hurt anything, and if you are capable, you can even bore the intake out yourself to match it. Otherwise, it would probably cost you abourt 60-70$ to have a shop do it. Maybe a tad more. LE does it, so if you planned on running a ported intake you could kill two birds with one stone there ...

I recently upgraded to a 58mm Holley from the stock 48mm. I used a sander and a drill to "hog" the holes out. It was a noticeable improvement. More grunt down low and a good improvement up top too. The Holley is a very attractive piece in the engine bay. They sell at Tbyrnes for less than $300 new.

I'd be doing the porting myself. That wouldn't be a problem for me. Was just wondering if anyone with similar setups have had good experiences with the upgrade or didn't pick up too much. I've though about the Holley NOS TB cause it would work well with my dry kit, but that new Summit 58mm is looking pretty attractive at just a tad over $250 new. I'm keeping my eye out for a used piece on ebay or here on the board. My 52mm will go up for sale if i find one. It's an AS&M piece also. Anybody have any before and after dyno numbers on their boosted setups going from 52mm to 58mm? By the way, i currently have a 52mm on there now. I guess i may have given the impression that i was still on my stock 48mm. Sorry. Thanks for the feedback guys.

You might not notice a SOTP difference between them, but im sure it wont hurt on a boosted set up.
And since you'd port it out yourself, you could do it for next to nothing. Im sure you can get a nice chunk of change for the 52MM when you sell it since its an ASM. And then get yourself a holley or BBK. Really cant go wrong with either of those. There was a big thread comparing them in LT1 tech a while back ...
Havent heard much about the Summit one but usually the summit stuff is made by the same companies that make them for Holley and so on, they just arent putting a name brand stamp on it so you can pick it up cheaper. Their EWP's are the same as CSI's ...
