I hope its not my transmission

Lately my car is feeling sluggish once it has been running longer than twenty minutes, everything seems to shift okay. This transmission has been rebuilt maybe a year ago and since than I have yet to be able to lay some rubber without slamming down the gas/brake pedal at the same time. At a dead stop It takes a while to grab first gear, but once it gets going it shifts fine. It almost feel like it has a torque converter, could this be a sign of it going out on me??? Thanks Im new to the transmission scene.
