QTP is having a sale on their headers and i would like to take advantage of it if i know that i am going to need them. The thing is, i am deciding on forced induction, pretty much either a sts rear mount or a twin turbo front mount. I know with the rear mount, i would neeed the headers, but say if i go with GMR speed or ohio forced inductions front mount turbo, will i still need headers?

also, should i get them with or without cats? I mean i hear that front mounts would melt the cats because of the heat. I don't know about the rear mount though.

 

Front mount turbo cars use custom headers. Make up your mind as to the power adder first or you could be wasting money.

 

the squire muffler area mount system is pretty hardcore..

I have QTP long tubes on my pewter Z28 and they're great headers... but if you're going with a front mounted turbo, they wont work... if you're going STS, then I highly recommend them.

 

Is the STS system street legal?

 

Depends where you live. Not all places like seeing a turbo sticking out of the back of your car.

 

Personally, I say get a set of Kooks if you're going to spend that much.
