Interesting Note about SS Concept @ Woodward (old?)

I was down at Woodward on Saturday and saw the SS Concept in person for the first time, however I noticed a small difference between the current car and the car in the press photos:

The concept has been revised and now has the new Chevy face instead of the chrome bar. I have never noticed this before, so if it was done a long time ago, I apologize, but it was just something I found to be pretty cool, and IMO made the car look a lot better.

The original nose was broken when it was pushed into a wall accidentally. The updated one has been touring for quite some time.

Cool. 1st time I've seen it since it crashed.

Changes sometimes happen as designers toy with changes on concepts. Compare the early press photos of the Belair concept with what actually was unveiled. The headlights and grille are trimmed differently.

I believe the story that Scott has been telling is that somebody at a car show did a small exhibition of excelleration and lost control of it causing a hasty repair. I like the newer nose better.

just give me that car, with an ls7, drag radials, 4.10 gears, a/c delete, no rear or passenger seat, and I would buy it.

if GM does not give me that, I have lost all faith and will buy a Ford.

Yep.. I can't believe that there was speculation back in the day around that shapeless blob and the 5th gen . But those were some pretty dark times.

It's unfortunate that the wall couldn't finish the job.

Too many doors. Otherwise, rather nice.
