I know this is a common type of question around here but, who do you think will take it? The mods in my sig are all up to date and I just replaced my opti like 2 weeks ago. I need new O2's though because mine are pretty worn and clogged. I think I'll take him though. I know his car is stock and I'm pretty sure it's an M6. He just bought it a couple weeks ago so he's pretty new with too. Also I have another quick question, with my car, what models/years Mustangs would it take to beat me? Just curious.

yeh, youll definitely win, mustangs only come 5speed, a newer mach1 would be tough, but close- good luck man!

 

Um, no they don't. They come in auto's too, and the cobra's only come in 6-spds.

well considering he said its manual, it doesnt really matter if it comes in auto, thats pretty obvious, and were talking about mustang gts here, hes obviously not going to beat a cobra

 

If you can drive worth a ****, you should have no problem. I spanked every bolt on mustang i raced, but that did not include any with blowers( new cobras ) or the new body styles. I raced mach 1's, gt's, fox bods, cobras and had no problem with any of them.

What will beat you? A newer cobra

nope.. i've had this S/N since 1996 (on other boards). Was an avid poster (mod of the Texas section in the late '90's, but since moved) for a few years and now I just pop in every once in awhile to splatter my nothingness.

Are you serious? Mach 1. Anyways it really all depends. Stock for stock I would say you have the slight edge but who knows what the stang has. Anything can happen on the street.

 

You're right, I forgot I already had headers + exhaust when I beat my friend's 99 cobra (even when we switched cars) which is basically the same as the new Mach 1. I guess that means that the DOHC Cobras could probably win in a drag race against stock Camaros too.

 

99 Cobras are turds but whatever.
