Did i toast my bearing/hub?

I had to change my steering knuckle for something on my z/28.

The hub/bearing was seized on very tightly. I whacked it with a hammer on the back a couple times and the sides to get it out. I didnt hit the actualy rotating assembly but i did hit the housing. Now, when i turn the hub, the thing sticks in position. It won't freely rotate anymore. Did i destroy the thing? I would hate to have to buy another.

Anything I can do? Should i try to mount it on the new knuckle and see what happens or should i just get a new one?

The hub assembly has a rear cover that the ABS sensor mounts in. The cover is only thin metal. You most likely crushed it. You don;t remove the hubs by pounding them out from behind. Youhave to use a puller from in front.

It's new hub time!

Yeah i guess i did crush it, the housing was smashed in slightly, i hit it on the side a few times and that fixed it. I am still going to get a new one eventually but it will work for now.
