Couple of decent laptops for sale - Detroit area - great for tuning or DVD watching

Okay, time to move some stuff out. Got the wife a new laptop, so these can go.

-----------------------------------------

Dell Latitude CPx
This is a damn nice laptop. Great for surfing the net, watching DVDs, etc. Has nice bright screen with no cracks or stuck pixels, overall in very good condition. Shift keys stick sometimes, but all other aspects of the keyboards works fine, Battery holds a great charge, I would still be using this if I hadn't bought my wife a new one. See attached pics for more details (scroll dwon to the next posts to see all the pics)

Specs:
Windows XP Pro
Microsft Excel, Powerpoint, Word, etc.
500mhz Intel Pentium III processor
128mb of RAM
5.6gb hard drive
14" diag. viewable screen
DVD player
PLUS hot-swappable CDRW drive
Network card
PLUS 802.11g wireless card

Also comes with a VERY nice Dell laptop bag that has plenty of room for the laptop, power cables, plus has tons more room and storage pockets for DVDs, cell phones, whatever. See the pics for all the details.

$300

-----------------------------------------

Acer Travelmate 512DX
This is somewhat old but works well. It would be great for tuning and BASIC functions. Screen is clear, no cracks, overall in pretty good shape. The only thing is that the tabs that keep it closed have broken off but that never seemed to be an issue when we used it. Battery holds a decent charge, keyboard and touchpad works great. There is an odd error when booting up because I uninstalled some ancient Symantec programs and it didn't get rid of all the files, evidently (see pics for screen shot of error). Still works fine otherwise. Take a look at the attached pics!

Specs:
Windows 98
Intel Celeron 366
32 megs of RAM
CD-ROM
Floppy Drive
4,645mb hard drive
12" diag. viewable screen
Infra-red

Also comes with a basic bag and power cable that it came with when I bought it.

$100

-----------------------------------------

These come as is, no software CDs and no warranties. The operating systems are legit, I bought them as they are and that is how I am selling them. Win XP on the Dell can be updated/validated/etc with no problems.

I uninstalled all programs that we put on them, and wiped the empty drive space clean.

Hey Jason,

I am interested in the dell you have. Have you used it on a wireless network? If so, how did it work?

Thanks,

Bill

Sure did, that is why I bought the included wireless card. Worked fine.

Re: Couple decent laptops for sale - Detroit area - GREAT for tuning...

Just wanted to let you guys know, response has been a bit more than what I had expcted already, and I don't want to **** anyone off so I gotta do this as a first come, first served deal.

I also want to mention that on the Dell, the shift keys stick sometimes. The keyboard MAY need to be replaced or just cleaned, but the rest of the keyboard still works fine. Just wanted to make sure everyone was aware of that.
