I have an 02 Z28 with stock LS1 engine, LS6 block, borla y-pipe and cat back, hollowed cats, O2 sims, and SLP smooth air intake. Suspension I have Auburn pro lsd, 4.10s, BMR PHR, LCA's and adj. TQ arm. I am installing an STS system soon w/ a GT 67 and wanted to know if any else has installed this type of system and what they thought of it.
Also any opinions and recommendations are welcome!!!

not to take the thread away from you, but can you do LT headers with the STS system?
its not advised because they reduce the exhaust temps... the hotter the better with a rear mount

Wrap your exhaust and put the stock 3.42's back in and you'll be fine.

I started with a basic STS kit on my 02 SS....now I'm way over my head!! :p
I love it, but since I had my baby I haven't had much time to drive it. I agree with the above, the headers aren't ideal, but no big deal. The 4.10's are gonna kill you. Also, what kind of fuel system are you gonna run?

Yeah the 4:10 gears are going to hurt. I had them with my sts kit and it would not allow the turbo to spool out. I went with a 3:50 gear and it feels much faster and stays in boost allot longer. - Mike

I installed the 4.10s before deciding to go turbo. So with the 4.10s the turbo should spool up a lot quicker thus creating a much harder acceleration correct? I've seen a couple of people post that the 4.10s will hurt, are the describing traction or another issue? What would be an acceptable gear with this turbo set up? 3.73s, 3.42:confused: Alsol what about turbo timers, types/brands of BOV's and wastegates?

With 4.10's your turbo wont spool is the issue. The gearing is not letting the motor get high enough in RPM to spool it.

The engine needs load to spool the turbo (think of it as making the engine work harder = spooling turbo faster). The lower the gear the harder the engine needs to work to pull thru the rpms... thus more load. Thats why people complain they dont really build any boost in first gear with aggressive gearing.
