BLDun 07-08-2006, 12:38 AM After a lot of hours and money I finally got my garage floor finished and the car in my sig will now reside there. Thanks to Bret for the vinyl inlay!

Camarocracy 07-08-2006, 01:51 AM Looks good. But would have been better if it was bigger and in the middle. Just a thought.
BLDun 07-08-2006, 09:51 AM If it was in the middle then most of it would always be covered up when the cars sits in the garage. Besides thats as large as Brett could make it!
Honda Hunter 07-08-2006, 10:22 AM I hope you own a camaro forever. Going to look odd if you trade in for a shelby cobra.
slayer6x6 07-08-2006, 12:30 PM I like it!
BLDun 07-08-2006, 12:50 PM Don't know if I will own a Camaro forever but it certainly won't be a mustang!! Possibly a Challenger hemi - hope, wish, hope, wish - but doubt I can afford one!!
Honda Hunter 07-08-2006, 02:06 PM Why not a Mustang? Pure horsepower, great styling, and fast 1/4 times scare you?: Nice floor btw.
GT KILLER 07-08-2006, 02:13 PM Don't know if I will own a Camaro forever but it certainly won't be a mustang!! Possibly a Challenger hemi - hope, wish, hope, wish - but doubt I can afford one!!
OK, but the Z/28 floor will still look funny with a Challenger sitting on top of it.
alkalinekid 07-08-2006, 03:08 PM OK, but the Z/28 floor will still look funny with a Challenger sitting on top of it.

ibanez6rg 07-08-2006, 03:40 PM I like it!
 Looks sweet!
94Z28WP 07-08-2006, 03:40 PM It doesn't look bad... Plus I'm jealous because I don't even have a garage to keep or work on my car... Did you seal the inlay along with the rest of the floor? Or is it just stuck on?
2000GTP 07-08-2006, 04:03 PM Looks good.
dirtybird222 07-08-2006, 04:35 PM looks awesome. the z28 looks awesome. if you ever buy another car at least you'll still always have a spot for another z28 and a thing constantly reminding you that you should have one there instead of a slopar or ford
2nd2sex 07-08-2006, 07:52 PM I really like it, looks good man
stingercamaro 07-08-2006, 09:20 PM That's pretty cool
BLDun 07-08-2006, 10:43 PM The emblem was laid and then clearcoated over everything. If worse comes to worse down the road I can take a razor knife and cut along the outside edge of the emblem and remove it and then put a new coat of clear on top of it. I checked with the supplier before I began to make sure that was an option.
As for the mustang thing, I love the new styling but having been a mopar man in my past drag racing life it would take a lot less to get me to got back to mopar than to switch to Mustang. I did have one - 1988 5.0 that my son now owns.

stroked 383 07-09-2006, 01:51 PM That looks superb! If you don't mind my asking, about how much should one expect to pay doing something similar to their own garage? Keep up the good work.
EHuff 07-09-2006, 01:52 PM That looks AWESOME! Nice job and a very creative idea.
BLDun 07-09-2006, 02:33 PM All the materials (exept the vinyl) came from a company in Michigan called ucoatit. The cost was about $650 for a garage this size. I paid $50 for the vinyl. So about $700 for the whole thing. However, that does not include labor and this is a very labor intensive project. But it's what I had in mind for a long time so know it's a reality. When I checked into custom floors I ended up with prices ranging from cheap plastic crap from Sears that still would have cost me much more than this to some that were absolutely incredible but the cost turned out to be about $3,500. I have much less in this one and it should last for years!!
