Doing a LT1 stroker in a '95 Z28, we need LT1 edit, where do you guys recommend we purchase it? Roughly what does it run $$?

Thanks in advance!

Well, you can only purchase LT1 edit from www.carputing.com. However, since LT1 Edit costs $300 for a tuner that only lets you edit one VIN only, why waste your money when you can go to www.tunercat.com and spend only $90 for Tunercat. You have an OBD1 computer, so you don't have to worry about LT1 Edit. Just got buy the tuner ($70), the def file $EE ($20), and D/L the flash reader/programmer (free) and save yourself $200. If you don't already have one, you'll need a cable from www.akmcables.com ($100). Make sure you get the one with the OBD2-style interface, because you have a 95 with the 16 pin OBD2 connector (but your PCM is OBD1).

What are the main differences between TunerCat and LT1-Edit, that may make LT1-Edit worth the extra money? I have a 95 Formula LT1 and am just starting to get into the whole programming scene coming from a carburated car :).

There are only two differences between the two. LT1 edit and tunercat look different (LT1 edit looks more like Windows popup boxes and Tunercat looks less like that) and LT1 edit saves files as .lt1 files and Tunercat uses .bin files. Other than that, there really are no differences. The ONLY reason anyone should buy LT1 Edit is if they have an ODB2 PCM in their car. So if you have a 93-95 F-body, you have OBD1. Why waste an extra $200 on LT1 Edit when you can get Tunercat? It doesn't have VIN lock (you can edit any number of cars you want) and updates are free.
