Re: are these legal?

It is illegal to obscure your vehicles lights with anything, including the spray on tinting.

Re: are these legal?

It depends on your state Its a kinda stupid thing to do to obstruct lights. You need as much light as you can get in my 2 cents SilverStars for me.

Re: are these legal?

It depends on the state and also depends on if you have Gestapo-like Safety-**** Police in your area.

Re: are these legal?

We dun't have none of them "lights on fer safety" laws here in the Auto Capital of the world....Michigan.
Last I checked, roads are made for CARS not Construction crews...I'm of the personal opinion they should watch for CARS, not vice-versa.
We have no vehicle emission/environmental testing (tailpipe OR visual)
We also have no non-commercial vehcile safety inspections either.
And that's the way it should be, EVERYWHERE !

This is not true! Automotive lighting standards are controlled by the Federal Government using SAE standards. The controlling agentcies are the NDOT, NHTSA, and the EPA, the states are charged with inforcement.
And thats the real question, inforcement? The easiest way to tell is look at the cars on the road. It's illegal to to remove the front plate in Texas, but a good 1/3rd of the car on the road don't have them.

If you seriously beleive that you aren't responsible for looking out for people around you (in and out of cars), I'm glad I don't have to worry about you driving on roads aroun me.

Just because you've never been pulled over for something dosn't mean it's legal.

To jsetzer I can afford to overpay for things. As to lights in Florida No tint covers front or rear no neon other then red or orange. Basicallly depends on the cop you run into.

Yes this is true but I neve had a problem with mine in FL. Also I had them on the front and rear but only kept the front ones one for about a week because I didnt like them at night. I kept the rear ones one for about a year until one of them fell off

Lol, meant no offense or anything. Just sharing my own personal experience.

I run Luks 80w low and 100w highs and they are whiter and brighter to me than silverstars. (And the best part cheaper).

From my understanding altering your headlights in almost any manner is not "legal" I don't think changing the bulbs to a higher wattage is legal, but how will they ever know?
