1995 camaro body

Hey
I have a new female friend, she has a 93 or 95 camaro. I'm pretty sure 95, anyway I've only seen the car from a distance she said it has a 350 but its not a Z-28 (just a reg camaro). I was under the impression that the mid 90's camaro had the black roof if it was a Z-28 (which hers has), and the rest were 6 cyl. anyone have any info? also a good site for camaro/chevelle/any chevy history and fac specs. I'm getting ready to fix one up for my daughter (camaro) I'm an old chevelle guy new to the camaros. thanks

Re: 1995 camaro body

they all went to body colored roofs by a certain year, not sure when, someone will pipe up for sure

for 4th gens;

Camaro = V6
Camaro RS = V6
Camaro Z28 = V8(LT1 through 97)
Camaro SS = V8(LT1 through 97)

Re: 1995 camaro body

It was also possible to get the 350 LT1 in a "Camaro" (not a Z28) with the B4C "Special Service Package" (police vehicle). They are fairly rare.

Here's a link to the 4th Gen FAQ, which should answer a lot of your questions about the F-Body.

Re: 1995 camaro body

T-top cars came with the black roof bar/panel for a few years (not sure which), and salad shooters were optional on mid-4th gen V6 Camaros. My '96 looks like a Z28, outside and in (has the black roof and mirrors, same leather bits etc), minus the higher mph speedo, Z28 emblems and dual exhaust tips.
