Pathetic that they will beat Chevy to a RWD V8 sedan.

Didn't the Azera JUST come out? Is this intended to go upmarket slightly from there or replace the Azera? Because the price range they listed sounds barely up market from where Azera is now.

If the V8 makes it into the coupe, I wonder what it would cost?

MT made a point about how pathetic it was that ford had three new cars out, and Hyundai had three new cars out. The difference being the Fords where the same thing save skin and some bells and whistles, and Hyundai had out three new ground up cars, that were totally new, and serious contenders in their respective classes.

Say what you will about Hyundai, you get a lot for the money. Lincoln has the Town Car, and LS which is dead. The latter is idiocy if you ask me, but that leaves Lincoln with what is a again, a Ford with different skin and this one is older than me...

Good point, Dr.

Boring, run of the mill stuff...or comparable quality and unique at the same time?

I wonder which one I take a look at first. Maybe not to buy, but I won't buy something I won't go to the lot to play with, which is inclusive feeling towards boring crap.

I bet it makes more power than the Mustang GT.

I don't understand what "value" Hyundai is offering that everyone is screaming about. Let's take a look at Azera.

I took a closer look at the car at the CIAS last February. Well, the outside design and look is fine. Nothing special, nothing hideous either. The rear of the car is weird, but oh well, to each his/her own.

What I found incredible was the price tag of that car. The interior was actually ugly, with poor choice materials. The control layout was also strange. For the price that they are asking for this newcomer, one could get a nice VW Passat, an Avalon (well, almost), or a top model Camry, add another 1K and get a base BMW 3-series or Acura TSX.

There was NOTHING in that car that I would want to buy. At best it competes with sub $27K CDN cars (meaning Impala/Ford 500). Azera MSRP is $34K CDN.

It explains to me why I have seen just one in Toronto - somebody in our office building has one.

the equus has been around for years nw, just finally might be getting an NA version. it would support the rumors of the tiburon switching to rwd, or another coupe using the foreign market tuscani name

:( affordable RWD V8's are usually American companies territory.

When I was in Korea last year, I saw a fleet of vehicles that very much resembled what we have here in the US, minus the full-size pickups and SUVs. For a country that's so small (and a city that's as dense as Seoul), they sure like their big sedans and mid-sized SUVs. It is indeed a bit jarring to go to a small Asian country and see a higher proportion of full-size RWD cars than we have here in the US

The Equus is a sharp car - I'd be interested in one if sold state-side, but to be honest, I'd have a hard time picking it over a Charger or 300C.
