I'm sorry, I meant the rubber boot under the leather shifter boot.
it's a thick rubber boot that screws down to the tunnel. It covers the
whole shifter assembly.

id go in and tell them you have a 2002, same body and trans and gm is obligated to carry service parts for a car for 10 years.

THANKS Matt. I don't know how come I did not think of that.

I called a used parts place and they wanted $35.00 for one. I called the
dealership, and they want $42.00 for a brand new one. Thanks again.

I wonder why they don't sell the one for 93/97 models if they are the same
