I just got a 1987 z28 that has a tpi 305 with 102k on the clock. The only mods I am planning on doing is exhaust, slp cai, and underdrive pulleys. My question is - Would I be safe to spray a 75 dry shot without a tune? If not what will I need? I don't think i'll spray but a few times a year so its not going to be a every week thing. Thanks - Charlie.

dry or wet shot?
If dry, make sure your injectors are ohm tested.
If either shot, make sure your fuel pump is up to par.
No problem with the dry shot for me.

A 75 shot is a safe jetting to spray. As mentioned above though, it is still a good idea to make sure everything is mechanically sound.

i would go with a simple nozzle style wet kit. install the kit with a fuel pressure safety switch and a window switch isnt a bad idea either.

Fact is, I'm just learning my way around nitrous again. Last time I used it, I had an toggle style arming switch and a button type momentary switch.
As you can imagine, the new technology has got my head spinning.
One thing I know hasn't changed is; it's not how OFTEN you spray, it's HOW you spray.
I'm not sure I'd want to spray 75hp worth of nitrous without at LEAST pulling two degrees timing.
